WEEKENDS ARE FOR SINGLES featuring Ryan Adams and A$AP Ferg

Haters Anthem is ASAP Ferg’s advance single.

Tancred’s new album is pretty good.

Gems cover John Lennon.

New Ryan Adams!

Courtney Barnett covering Gillian Welch!

Good song.

Beth Orton is starting a new label that will release previously unreleased material. She teamed up with The Chemical Brothers for a Tim Buckley cover to help launch it. Nice work.

I’ll confess that the Roots have always been a rap band I’ve appreciated from afar. For some reason they haven’t connected with me yet. But Black Thought’s first solo album is the closest they’ve come for me so far, and I love that he teamed up with one of the hottest new rappers, and a current fave of mine, Rapsody. She’s amazing.

Mark Lanegan is back with his brand of haunting rock.

If you like Flaming Lips, you should like the experimental psych of Superorganism. Here’s the first song from their self-titled album.

New Local Natives…

And I can’t say I loved all of the new Luke Combs album, but I loved this song.

“Kids on the Run” is a solid single by Kalle Mattson.

“Pops” is a father’s day track (kidding!) by THEY.

“These Days” is a smooth pop single. I liked it.
