Pink Floyd started recording Dark Side of the Moon on June 1, 1972. In recognition, here are the best covers of every song on the album…
Speak to Me.
The first track off of Dark Side is basically an ambient intro, which makes covers a challenge. The best cover I’ve found is from the doom-metal tribute, Doom Side of the Moon. The whole thing can be heard below–and it’s really worth a listen. Track-for-track, it’s one of the best Dark Side covers of all time.
Gallops also did a good job, from Mojo’s full-album tribute. They went the route of including sounds from across the entire album.
