LONER by CAROLINE ROSE

The opener to Loner wails about a bunch of people who “all have alternative haircuts and straight white teeth,” and the album definitely feels a little bit like an old Pink album–a rebel chick with a solidly mainstream sound bemoaning conformity. Indeed, “Money” sounds an awful lot like an update to Limp Bizkit’s anthem, “Nookie.”

But hey, there’s nothing wrong with that.

This album won’t change your life, but it might lift your spirits–and it will probably make you laugh. And that’s enough, when it comes to pop!
