John Romita, Jr., left the series and we got a bunch of fillers. Sure, they were all by great artists: Jackson Guice, Barry Windsor Smith, Rick Leonardi, and the great Alan David (above), but it’s hard to maintain a solid-feeling continuity with new artists all the time. The series, which for me was already starting to suffer, gets worse. Mark Silvestri will come on next–and I just don’t think I can keep doing this.
Sorry guys. I’m out.
Next: DC’s Manhunter!
