This is a shitload of music, and not every song is a winner. It’s highly experimental stuff. But the good news is, if you don’t like a track, it’ll be short and end soon. Lots of the songs here feel like pieces or ideas, not yet fully formed, not yet complete. I found myself compelled to listen all the way through.
But whatever you do, don’t quit before you hear the Cardigans’ cover, “Carnival,” and Cheap Trick’s, “Surrender.”
