Yeah, I already wrote about this run.  I named it one of my 11 favorite Punisher stories.  In retrospect, maybe it wasn’t THAT good…But I maybe it was.  It was the kind of Steve Gerberish madness that Marvel stopped doing in the late 1980s when Frank Miller forced everyone to get all dark and serious and no fun (and then Jim Lee forced everyone to suck hard).

But this time re-reading it, I noticed that it all starts with a Punisher-of-the-monsters.  He slays all monsters,  Punisher slays all criminals.

Still, the best parts of this story are the early issues with art by the great Tony Moore….



He’s just amazing.
