I mean, it’s nice when you can make a little scratch off your art, but that can’t be the main motivator. Money killed New Wave, turning Blondie into Naked Eyes and Men Without Hats. Money killed rap, turning Kurtis Blow into Chamillionaire.
But true art, true music lives on.
