Peter Parker Spider-Man #48-49/146-147 (2002): Big Question/Big Answer

You know what is less satisfying than an origin story for a superhero we never get to see again?  When it also contains an origin for a super-villain we never see again.

This story concerns a woman with powers resulting inadvertently from a mass killing of Bangladeshi people by an evil corporation, and her revenge on the head of that company.  It weaves in some Eastern culture and, sadly, some insensitivity towards the yogic poses used as part of a spiritual path.

Really?  In addition to creating an unsatisfying story, someone thought it would be a good idea to mix self-fellatio humor with cultural insensitivity?
